Anushka Sharma (Hindi: अनुष्का शर्मा pronounced, born May 1, 1988) is an Indian actress and former model who appears in Bollywood films. In 2008 she made her film debut in Aditya Chopra's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and later praised for his role as band Baaraat Baaja Shruti Kakkar (2010).Both films brought her a nomination as Best Actress Filmfare Awards ceremony.
Sharma was born in Bangalore, but his parents are from Garhwal, Uttarakhand. His father, Colonel Ajay Kumar Sharma, an army officer and his mother Ashima Sharma is a home. She has an older brother named Karnesh, who was a cricketer at the state level and now in the merchant navy. She studied at the School of the Army and graduated with a specialization in the art of Mount Caramel College, Bangalore. She then moved to Mumbai to pursue her modeling career, where she currently resides.
